Air Cushion Chrome Grips with Throttle Assist

Q: Can the throttle assist be removed? Is there an end cap available to replace the assist?

Q: I have a 2016 Harley-Davidson Breakout and I'm not sure what grips work with my bike. I'd like the air cushioned ones with the throttle boss. Please advise.

Q: For some reason there is alot of play on the throttle side grip. The clutch side grip fits rock solid on my 2015 stock FLHR bars. Is there a way to adjust the throttle side grip or is there a insert/sleeve that is available? The throttle grip does grab and turn the throttle-by-wire spindle but it seems the inner diameter is too big for the bar.

Q: I purchased the Avon Grips, but it did not include any instructions. Only the HD instruction on the back of the package. It says instructions can be found on your site, but I so not see any. Can you assist with installation instructions. Installing on a 2005 Honda VTX1800F. TY

Yes all of our end caps can be removed and replaced. There is a Phillips Head screw down the center of all our grips that hold the end caps on. You will need to take the grips off the handlebar to take off end caps. We put a few drops of Blue Loctite on the screws when installing the end caps and we suggest you doing the same when putting on a new end cap.

Any of the HD grips will work. Style and size is a personal decision so it's what you like. If you have tingle sensation in hands while you ride then yes that is a good grip to get.

The instructions on the back of the packaging is for HD bikes. There should have been an instruction sheet inside the grip when you bought them.

No there isn't anything to adjust or insert into the grip. Some bikes do have a little play but the gear at the end of the grip will lock onto the gear at the end of the handlebar.

All of our grips come with instructions, we only have one kind of packaging for all grips so that's why yours has HD. Usually the instructions are rolled up and put inside one of the grips.
