Q: I bought a pair air cushion chrome grips for a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900, but the installation instructions on the package are poor, and the diagrams are covered by a metric fitment sticker. It says to go to the website for installation instructions, but I don't see any there. Can you please
A: The instructions on the back of the packaging is for HD bikes. There should have been an instruction sheet inside the grip when you bought them.
Q: Can the throttle assist be removed? Is there an end cap available to replace the assist?
A: Yes all of our end caps can be removed and replaced. There is a Phillips Head screw down the center of all our grips that hold the end caps on. You will need to take the grips off the handlebar to take off end caps. We put a few drops of Blue Loctite on the screws when installing the end caps and we suggest you doing the same when putting on a new end cap.
Q: For some reason there is alot of play on the throttle side grip. The clutch side grip fits rock solid on my 2015 stock FLHR bars. Is there a way to adjust the throttle side grip or is there a insert/sleeve that is available? The throttle grip does grab and turn the throttle-by-wire spindle but it seems the inner diameter is too big for the bar.
A: No there isn't anything to adjust or insert into the grip. Some bikes do have a little play but the gear at the end of the grip will lock onto the gear at the end of the handlebar.
Q: I have a 2016 Harley-Davidson Breakout and I'm not sure what grips work with my bike. I'd like the air cushioned ones with the throttle boss. Please advise.
